Or even just a couple of hours of clear sky would do, might even be able to get a look at Mars as well.

Out till midnight and managed 3 meteors - 2 streakers (1 below Cassiopeia and 1 near Aquila) and 1 little one near Pegasus.
Saw Mars just before midnight - the trees in the garden have grown well this year!! Double Cluster and M31 were easy. M13 more of a challenge due to the pub lights making the garden like a landing strip. The "coathanger" an easy find once again. A beautiful night spoiled by the pub lights but the Milky Way was still a prominent feature.

Stayed out from 23.30 till 01.50 and managed 9 meteors and one satellite, one of those streakers was really spectacular heading west you could of almost picked up a camera and taken a picture the trail was that good, Mars was very bright but could not make out any detail, also found the coathanger, Andromeda and Pleiades, I really should of had a larger scope out tonight as only had the 70x400 and a pair of 8x40s but if you use the scope you miss the meteors. Still has to be the best night we have had in a while.

Didn't think it was going to be much good last night so just went to bed but up later and the sky was glorious with stars so I just stuck head out the window to take it all in. Had just familiarised myself with the view, Pleiades over to the east and Aries with the summer triangle to west when fireball shot through at 0250hrs leaving a trail which lasted several seconds. From E. to W. through Ophiuchus. Stayed up a bit longer but didn't see any other meteors and as I was getting a cricked neck hanging out the window i went back to bed. very tempted to get dressed and go out though.

Sounds like you saw two meteors that I saw Mike, the bright one through Cass and the little one through Pegasus.

Fortuneately they were on the opposite side of the sky from the Brook Inn so the floodlit football field was not a problem!
Elsewhere it was - couldn't see M10/12 again and though we could see Cor Coroli we couldn't make out M3. When Mars appeared we could make out most of the stars of Capricorn but not another globular I had hopes for - M30.
Good to hear that many of use saw meteors this year. Yesterday could have been the last chance as the forecast for the next few days is not good.

Bit of a gap! I wonder if it will last, the back edge is over Ireland and the wind has dropped, so we might even get a look at the peak!!

Just got in at 02.05 counted 15 tonight, one heading North ish lasted for a good three or four seconds, conditions were nowhere near as good as the other night with a thin low mist hanging around, when cars headlights passed the sky turned white but looking more or less straight up was able to see through it,and when the street lights went out visibility improved a lot then at 02.00 the cloud rolled in with a vengeance and blotted out every thing in minutes.

Inspired by Kim (I was on meteorwatch earlier) I popped outside around 12.30 for a few minutes. Saw 2 in 20 minutes including 1 fireball in Perseus itself. The other was left of Cassiopeia and also impressive.
The forecast I looked at wasn't too inspiring so I was pleasantly pleased at how clear it had become.
Mars and Saturn seen earlier.

Whilst we were out at St. Non's dark site on the night of the Perseid Meteor Shower we actually counted 60 Perseid meteors and a couple of sporadics between midnight and 1:30 am.
