Next meeting... Tuesday October 2nd Join us at 7pm at Letterston Memorial Hall for our monthly lecture. Refreshments are available. Membership renewals are now due . Print off a membership form, from the forum, and give it to Phil, our Membership Secretary, at the next meeting - Tuesday 02/10/18 - together with your cheque/cash. Alternatively pay by bank transfer - so much easier!! Details are on the membership form but again do give a copy to Phil to let him know what you have done.

Yes, its Mike Pritchard on the moon (well not literally ) and Kim Gowney will be showing how to set up telescopes so I'm sure there will be something to learn that we didn't know. Actually as I'm writing this the gibbous moon is very evident in the daylight sky.

Ten minutes after most people left, the sky cleared and we had some good views around Lyra. Kim picked out the double double, Epsilon Lyrae, and the Ring nebula, which Mike had mentioned in Whats Up. It would be good if the weather would co operate more often on meeting nights, so we could view the targets discussed in the meeting.
