Inspired by the post of Colin Evans on fb - I took the opportunity this evening.
Around 6.45 the crescent Moon led me down to Venus and from Venus across to Mercury. Both were in the trees from my vantage point but the lack of leaves made the job easier - at least I didn't have to leave the garden!!

Wasn't it beautiful......Helen and I took the van up to a high vantage point above the village (1000 ft), the view was excellent, I've never seen Mercury so high above the horizon.! Though a cold biting wind was whistling up at that height.... we didn't stay long.!!
