A tad disappointing turnout on Tuesday as only nine stalwarts attended. However I think this was anticipated as the weather was (again) not conducive to outdoor observing and also as I realised too late to do anything about it the events calender had nothing listed for June.
There is always a backup plan however so we watched a dvd about the search for alien planets.
as I understand it the total of extra solar planets now known exceeds 3,000.
Some of this may figure in July's talk on 'Astrobiology' by Dale.
Indeed we may have had a visit from aliens before then but somehow I doubt that
so let's have a bigger attendance in July and hope we get a chance to pop outside to have a look through some of our instruments.
