About 10.00 last night the sky was light and clear. A little more distance between the Moon and Jupiter (top right). The battery ran out on the Canon - well it had to eventually - I haven't charged it for ages. So that put paid to my astro session - this was a picture that I hoped to improve on. Another day perhaps.

Certainly was bright last night. in the 'Old days' when I used a non digital SLR, battery wasn't a problem. It was film that used to run out and always after the shops were shut

Had plenty of battery life when i tried to get moon and Jupiter, but found that a plastic drainpipe is not good enough to steady the camera. Had about 6 moons and jupiters, plus loads of jupiters moons. Will try and find a cast iron drainpipe next time

I always thought the first rule of astrophotography would be, 'Equip yourself with a camera'.
