Is it too late to hire the Dobsonian for me to give a talk and possibly a demonstration to the Burton and Hougton Cub Scouts on Friday the 18th. I am giving the youngsters a talk on astronomy and was taking my 9.5" Schmidt–Cassegrain Celestron, but is is such a hefty monster and one has to park some way from the village hall. Weather is not promising so it is likely it will only be there to show them what a reflector looks like. I'm perfectly happy to pay the hire fee.

Hi Geoff, I can't see a problem with that, message Richard on here, and he may be able to get you sorted out.

Richard, shall I bring the scope with me to the meeting tomorrow, or would you prefer me to deliver it another time? Geoff
